Budget Cuts Are Everywhere, but Help is Still Available in San Diego for Young Entrepreneurs Who Want to Start Their Own Small Business

Small business ownership is becoming a very attractive option for employment in this rough job market. And at the Southwestern College Center for International Trade Development (CITD) we have developed a free online training program for people aged 14-27 to help them explore the opportunities of owning their own business. It is called the Young Entrepreneurs Project (YEP).

Ditch the cheesy self-help books and the generic guides: YEP is a self-paced course that young entrepreneurs can use at whatever time is convenient, 24/7. The course guides participants through the basics of starting a small business and writing a business plan. At the end of the course, participants have the opportunity to share their business plan with the CITD for a chance to win one of three prize packages. The packages are designed to help young entrepreneurs launch and promote their businesses.
