WHERE: Kimball Park – site of 2011 Relay For Life of National City, 12th Street & D Ave, National City, CA
WHY: For the next 20 to 30 years, the American Cancer Society’s Research Department will follow enrollees by sending questionnaires every two years to be completed and returned. Researchers will use this data to study factors associated with cancer and ultimately find ways to prevent it.

To enroll in the study will take approximately 30-45 minutes. Eligible and interested individuals will be asked to complete a brief study questionnaire, provide a waist measurement, and give a small blood sample, similar to a doctor’s visit. Quest Diagnostics coordinates the blood donation. Soon after the registration at the Relay event, a more detailed questionnaire will arrive to collect detailed information on lifestyle, behaviors, and medical/family history.
