Hundreds of kid, teens, and adults flocked to the Spring Valley Library, 836 Kempton St, on Saturday for the sixth annual Fiesta. The festivities took place from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., with a variety of cultural entertainment, food, and community information booths.

“I came to the library today to read and write, and saw all this,” said local resident Sissi Xuan. “Every culture has different food and music and clothes, it makes me very happy and I feel wonderful and amazement.”

The Spring Valley Fiesta was free to the community and included performances by Mariachi Diamante de San Diego and Ballet Folklorico Aquetzalli de Lemon Grove.  Attendees also explored a low rider car display and saw a canine demonstration by the local sheriff’s department.

“The annual Spring Valley Fiesta is always a great opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate a culture rich in music, dance, and art,” said Branch Manager Christine Plante.
