 The exhibit runs for six weeks, during which, there will be a series of events that reflects the theme and players. The growing list and dates of events has these dates so far:

 Sat August 1st: “Que Viva Peru’ FIESTA folkloric dance/art/food/music by, ‘Agua Dulce’
 Sat & Sun Aug 8 & 9: ‘Fiesta del Sol’, Barrio Logan Mural Intervention
 Fri & Sat Aug 14-15: Friendship Park pannel, video, installation/performance, ‘The Wall’ “Crosses of Hope”
 Mon to Fri Aug 17-14: kick-off of “Camping in the Park Week For Humanity”

 Sat Aug 22: Border Angels pannel, video Auction Fund-raiser for the CENTRO and the Chincha,Peru Project, Cultural Exchange: Due to current economical situation, the CENTRO is on a campaign of fundraising. Also our No-Borders Cultural Exchange going on with Peru which started last year in respond to aid artists impacted by the Chincha Earthquake, is hosting directly from Peru, artist Aurelio de la Guerra to exhibit and paint murals in the San Diego/Tijuana Region.

Izcalli 2009 summer program, Proyecto Ollin

 Our project’s goal is to promote positive self-esteem, goal setting and a healthy lifestyle through weekly lessons in cultural awareness, history, and artistic expression.

 Workshops will focus on: Aztec calendar, Danza Azteca, visual arts, Chicano/a music and spoken word, and a culmination to the program with a visit to Chicano Park.
