SANDAG seeks public input
Residents Invited to Take Online Survey

SANDAG is seeking input to update its Public Participation Plan as it gears up in the coming months to tackle significant regional issues related to transportation, growth, housing, public health, energy, sustainability, habitat conservation, interregional planning, and other important topics.

In order to better serve the public, SANDAG is inviting San Diego County residents to take an online survey anytime between now and Sept. 28. Survey questions focus on how participants would prefer to receive information and provide input. The survey is available in both English and Spanish.

Survey results will be used to develop public outreach programs for large-scale SANDAG projects, including an upcoming initiative to update the region’s comprehensive plans. They also will help evaluate the effectiveness of the methods currently in place for communicating with the public, as well as measure how to best engage community members moving forward.

In addition to taking the survey, residents are welcome to e-mail comments to Paula Zamudio at pza@sandag.org.

The SANDAG Public Participation Plan establishes a process for communicating with and obtaining input from the public concerning agency programs, projects, and program funding.

Vista Library to Host Free Family Law Workshop

Attorney Charles Kim from Yelman & Associates will present a workshop on Family Law as part of San Diego County Library’s award-winning Community Law School series. The workshop will take place on Wednesday, August 29 at 6 p.m. at the Vista Library, 700 Eucalyptus Ave. No prior law experience is required to benefit from this free class.

Kim will provide a basic introduction and information on the Courts of San Diego, jurisdictions, divorce/dissolution, custody support, and property division.

Classes in the Community Law School series are useful for individuals wanting to know more about law and legal justice, and for faith-based and community social service counselors and new practicing attorneys who are seeking continuing education.

“These classes provide legal assistance at no charge as part of our mission to inform, educate, inspire, and entertain our customers”, said Library Director José Aponte.

For more information on the Family Law class at the Vista Library, contact the Housing Opportunities Collaborative at (619) 283-2200 x 104.
