Southbay Office Depot Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Funding for Non-Profit Organizations

<p align="justify">On Thursday mid-afternoon on January 12th, a standing crowd formed a circular huddle motion where store workers, management, National City public officials, National City Chamber of Commerce officers and members, non-profit organizations, guests who gathered for the presentation at the Office Depot for the tentative Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 3430 Highland Avenue.</p>
<p align="justify">Office Depot invited many participants to the special Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting event for the newly remodeled store in National City. An announcement in a email blast was sent out as a courtesy by Jacqueline Reynoso, CEO from the National City Chamber of Commerce.</p>
<p align="justify">The ceremony began at 3:30 p.m. The Office Depot’s District Manager and Store Manager conducted the event. On behalf of the organizations and business communities there were individuals that were present or spoke on behalf of congratulating and welcoming the remodel of the store such as prominent second term National City Mayor Ron Morrison; National City Vice Mayor Alejandra Sotelo-Solis; National City Councilmember Rosalie Toledo-Zarate; National City Councilmember Mona Alvarado-Rios; National City Councilmember Luis “Louie” Natividad; Honorable Jess VanDeventer; Honorable Michael Dalla; Josie Flores-Clark, Assistant to National City Mayor Ron Morrison; Al Alvarado, Assistant to Congressman Bob Filner; Irma Isla, Membership, National City Chamber of Commerce; Jacqueline Reynoso, CEO, National City Chamber of Commerce; Kevin Barnick and June Olson, Lions International Club; Lydia Loristo, co-founder of PTE-HOPE Inc.; Sherry Hunter, IBO eCosway; Bob Crider, Member of PTE-HOPE Inc.; partial list.</p>
<p align="justify">A presentation of contributions to two non-profit organizations on behalf of the Office Depot Foundation who’s motto on the placard indicates “Investing in the City.” Each non-profit received two hundred dollars. The following honored non-profit recipients that received $200 dollars were the Community Youth Athletic Center and Jackie Robinson Family YMCA.</p>
<p>A ribbon-cutting ceremony was then held, after which members who attended received complimentary plastic canisters and backpack bags with school supply goodies. The community mingled and light healthy snacks were served.</p>
