Girl Scout camp - pool

Don’t miss the canoe – or any boat –there’s still time to register for Girl Scout summer camp! Adventures beckon for all girls in grades K-12, not just current Girl Scouts. Nearly 100 day camp (continuing through Aug. 8 ) and overnight “resident” camp (July 11-Aug. 8 ) sessions are offered various locations, including Balboa Park, Julian, Carlsbad, Mission Bay and Lakeside.

Camp themes include: aquatic activities (such as canoeing, kayaking, swimming and sailing), blogging, photography, habitat restoration, mountain bike and horseback riding, backpacking, science, technology, music and drama. Along with enjoying traditional camp fun (s’mores, anyone?), Girl Scout campers develop life and leadership skills, confidence, lasting friendships and memories.

Four- to six-day resident camp takes place at Camp Winacka and Camp Whispering Oaks near Julian. Day camp is offered in four-day sessions throughout San Diego County.

Girl Scout summer camp is open to all girls. Non-members simply add $12 dues to the camp fee and enjoy Girl Scout membership throughout the year. Camp fees begin at just $135. Teen leadership positions, adult volunteer opportunities and financial assistance available.
