Significant Changes to Third Avenue
A very important project called “Third Avenue Street-scape” will soon be brought to the City Council for approval. We believe that there are many reasons for being concerned about this project, and why it may be harmful to the economic well-being of Third Avenue.
So we are holding a Special Crossroads II Board Meeting to discuss Streets-cape, and the Board meeting will be OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. City staff will present the project.
The project will involve a large amount of construction along Third Avenue from F Street to H Street. One result will be that Third Avenue will then be one lane in each direction all the way from E Street almost to H Street. There will be other forms of construction that is intended to make Third Avenue safer for pedestrians, but may make it more difficult for drivers.
Come and learn more, ask questions, and voice concerns. It may go to the Council in January, so this is probably your last chance to ask questions.

“Casino Night” at Norman Park Senior Center on Dec 21 kicks off seniors’ fundraising efforts to save their 49 year One-stop center
Due to its deficit budget, the City of Chula Vista is in the process of closing down Norman Park Senior Center, the city’s only one-stop center serving the needs of 27.7% of its population — those who are 50 years and above.

It is December 21 from 5 -9 pm. with a special VIP tour, Hors D’ouvres, and our own Singing Seniors performing from 4-5 pm for everyone donating $100 and above.
Tickets can be purchased in advance up to Dec 17th at Norman Park, 270 F Street, Chula Vista
