Friends new and old came together this past Sunday at the new Logan Heights Library to honor Gracia with a community party celebrating her 80th birthday.

Gracia, who was recently honored by the city council with the Proclamation of “Gracia Molina de Pick Day in the City of San Diego,” has devoted her life to education, as a feminist, and community activist for women’s equality, indigenous communities, labor and immigrant’s rights.

Gracia’s generosity knows no bounds. Recently she made a significant contribution to the Logan Heights Library endowment in honor of her husband, Richard Pick, which played a significant role in seeing the library being built.
