COMRADES y COMADRES: A Celebration of La Mujer, Casa Familiar’s 3nd Annual Dia de la Mujer Celebration promises to be a celebration of epic womanly proportions. The celebration this year will take place at Casa Familiar’s THE FRONT: A Collaborative of Art, Culture, Design & Urbanism- located at 147 W. San Ysidro Blvd, San Ysidro CA 92173 on Friday March 5th, 2010 from 6pm to 11pm., the event will feature an art exhibit by 30 visual artists, a very special spoken word session, and a selection of musicians and performers from across the border, San Diego and East L.A., that could only come together for such an occasion; In Lak Ech, Las Ramonas, Crsitina Crème, Mujeres en Resistencia and Members of the trip-hop band FARO. Performances will be followed by the feelgood beats of The Roots Factory’s own, DJ Ana Brown!
