LA JOLLA — On May 2011, Rosario Marin said, “Sorry! I have been busy traveling.” This amazing Mexican born has beauty, brains and perseverance and is exactly what her current book says in the front cover, “Leading Between Two Worlds.” Being apologetic and knowing that her daily lives has been busy connecting to many people inspiring, being a Latina role model and recently invited to speak to a women’s group in Fairbanks for an annual luncheon and fashion show.

It is always a pleasure to speak to Rosario. I remember seeing her for the first time when she ran for Governor of California. What an attempted measure and an insightful one that one day an individual of Latina descent will have all the dynamic elements combined to make it happen. Rosario will be a choice for all people. One day in the near future, California who has a tremendous high population of Hispanics, Mexicans and Latino American descent will have a leadership that will be the head of the state.

Rosario’s ‘American Dream’ and how it became a reality is in her book. The book shares her lessons being the first Mexican-born Treasurer of the United States.

The book covers about the trials and tribulations of how she came to America when she was fourteen-years-old. She moved from Mexico to California. Even at that time, she had no idea of the English language. However, Rosario has overcome obstacles that the Latino community always emphasizes the importance of education. There, Rosario finished first in her family and graduated from college. Ms. Marin’s signature was a household name on every United States dollar bills being the 41st United States treasurer. Then, she was the first Latina in California to run for U.S. Senate.

‘Leading Between Two Worlds’ revolve around her life through personal views, sacrifices and politics. Rosario shares her experience through betrayal, struggles through depression, family life, advocacy for disabilities and even returning happily to Mexico.

Rosario hopes that through her message in the book that she wrote will inspire others and encourage them to continue their dreams and achievements. For further info, contact
