Christina Perez

Jazz 88.3 announces two new world music programs that feature a different, expanded, yet connected, sound for KSDS San Diego.

Christina Perez hosts and programs a new two-hour show called “One World” on Wed. night (early Thurs. morning), midnight to 2:00 a.m. The show features genres of music that explore the gamut of rhythms from around the globe. In one segment listeners might hear Bachata from the Dominican Republic and in the next set they’ll hear Dub music created in New Zealand. Experience the sounds of Cuba, Africa, Finland, India, Thailand, Peru, Americana and more via the radio waves and simulcast on the Internet (www.jazz88.org).

Perez also hosts and programs the new two-hour “Step-pin’ Out” show on Friday night (early Saturday morning) midnight to 2:00 a.m. The show is a funky soul vibration that features Funk, Soul, Deep Jazz, Disco, and mutations of the fore mentioned. The mission of KSDS-FM is to present, preserve and promote the uniquely American art form that is Jazz.
