San Diego Latino Film Festival Film Series Continues With Colombian Romantic Drama “Paraiso Travel”

The San Diego Latino Film Festival continues its 10th Annual Cinema en tu Idioma Film Series showcasing new Latin American, Mexican and Spanish Cinema with the screening of “PARAISO TRAVEL,” starring among others Ana de la Reguera and John Leguizamo September 18-24 at UltraStar Mission Valley Cinemas at Hazard Center.

Adapted from Jorge Franco’s acclaimed novel of the same title, “PARAISO TRAVEL” tells the story of Marlon (Aldemar Correa), a young Colombian man motivated by his girlfriend Reina (Angelica Blandon) to leave his comfortable life in Medellin, Colombia. Driven by their will to reach their dreamland, the two embark on an unpredictable adventure that will bring them into the United States. The film is a true love story where the pursuit of dreams becomes each character’s obsession. Balancing the search to reconnect with his love and finding his way in this new country, it is through Marlon’s eyes that the viewer will experience New York City on his voyage to find Reina, his love.

Directed by Simon Brand with a screenplay by Jorge Franco and Juan Rendon, PARAISO TRAVEL also stars John Leguizamo, Margarita Rosa de Francisco, and Ana de la Reguera.
