<p>Chula Vista, cuenta con el segundo lugar de los centros de salud “Planned Parenthood” en atención a sus pacientes, en donde el 30% son de comunidad Latina. Sus cifras de visitas de pacientes oscilan entre los 90 y 200 al día.</p>

<p>It was 40 years ago this month that the U.S. Supreme Court legalized abortion in the historic Roe v. Wade decision. A majority of Americans support and respect the decision each woman must make about her own pregnancy and oppose efforts to overturn Roe v. Wade.</p>

<p>Every year, about 12,000 women in the U.S. are diagnosed with cervical cancer, and about 4,000 American women die of the disease. Worldwide, cervical cancer is the third most common cancer among women and the fourth leading cause of cancer deaths among women. The good news is that cervical cancer is one of the most preventable cancers: when caught early, the five-year survival rate is nearly 100 percent.</p>

<p>Parents and teens are talking about sex, but they aren’t always communicating.</p>
<p>A new survey — from Planned Parenthood, Family Circle magazine, and the Center for Latino Adolescent and Family Health at NYU — questioned more than 2,000 parents and teens. Unlike most surveys on the topic, it asked detailed questions of parents and their teens, which gives a window into the experience from both perspectives — and a roadmap for how parents can have an ongoing dialogue about these issues with their adolescent children.</p>

<p>Too many of our families have been touched in some way by breast cancer. A mother, a sister, an aunt, a best friend, a neighbor. So many of the people we love have struggled with this disease in some way. In 2012, about 227,000 women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer, and about 40,000 women will die of the disease.</p>
