<p>After the unexpected victory of Donald Trump in the presidential elections, protests have erupted across the United States and California. San Diego was no exception and&nbsp; protests have been held&nbsp; in several locations over the last couple of days.<br>
One of the earliest demonstrations in the county occurred Downtown in the late hours of Tuesday night. The largely unorganized assembly saw a large group of citizens march through Downtown San Diego’s streets with no notable incidents.<br>

<p>Después de la inesperada victoria de Donald Trump en las elecciones presidenciales, las protestas han estallado en los Estados Unidos y California. San Diego no fue la excepción y las protestas se&nbsp; han llevado a cabo en varios lugares durante los últimos días.<br>

<p>Tuesday’s election delivered a mixed bag of results for San Diegans, Californians, and all Americans as voters seemed to buck the trend predicted by polls.<br>
Although polls showed Hillary Clinton leading Donald Trump all the way up to Election Day, in the end it was Trump that clinched enough votes in swing states to pull off an unexpected victory. Trump secured more than enough votes in the Electoral College to become President, although Clinton received more of the popular vote by a margin of 337,636 votes.<br>
