<p>Nearly six weeks after the November 3rd election, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris can now officially be called President-Elect and Vice-President-Elect of the United States.</p>
<p>On Monday, Electors from each state met in their respective Capitals to cast their votes in the Electoral College, a usually obscure process that took on more significance this year after weeks of President Trump and his allies arguing that the election was fraudulent and trying to overturn the outcome.</p>

<p>President-Elect Joe Biden will name Xavier Becerra to be the next Secretary of Health and Human Services, and the pick could give Governor Gavin Newsom two statewide appointments to fill; Becerra’s post, and the US Senate seat to be vacated by Kamala Harris when she is sworn-in as the next Vice President of the United States.</p>

<p>On Oct. 1, 2020 the City of Chula Vista slammed its residents with an astoundingly high ambulance transport rate of $3,881.56. This increase was part of a previously negotiated agreement by the City with its ambulance services contractor, American Medical Response (AMR).</p>
<p>However, AMR won’t profit from the increase.</p>

<p>White House trade advisor Peter Navarro says the President’s staff is moving forward “under the assumption that there will be a second Trump term”.</p>
<p>“Our assumption is the second Trump term, we think he won that election, and any speculation about what Joe Biden might do I think his moot at this point,” Navarro said.</p>

<p>Lawyers suing the City of San Diego and developers involved in the 101 Ash St building transaction are now asking for all documents to be released and joined mayoral candidate Barbara Bry and City Attorney candidate Cory Briggs in asking for an independent investigation into the controversial deal.</p>
