<p>Many of us living in San Diego County are aware of the dangerous duties undertaken by the men and women of the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA). Often times, their accomplishments go unnoticed but these agents continue making significant contributions to the seemingly unending effort to protect our communities from the threat of drug crime and addiction.</p>

<p>Flashed around the world, the image of Luisa Maria Davila, mother of two of the Ciudad Juarez youths murdered in the now-infamous Villas de Salvarcar massacre last month, scolding Mexican President Felipe Calderon for long-running official indifference photographically captured the reality of a city now nearly destroyed by criminal violence.</p>

<p>No había en mayores índices de violencia, ni aumento en la adicción a las drogas en México, como tampoco el tráfico de armas es exclusivamente desde los Estados Unidos, ni ha crecido la infiltración exacerbada en las instituciones del gobierno.</p>

<p>The guy was asleep in his room, no bodyguards around. Just before dawn an explosion was heard and over 50 masked police men entered his huge mansion in an exclusive neighborhood in quiet La Paz, Baja California Sur.</p>
<p>That was the way police arrested one of the most renowned from Tijuana.</p>
