<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; It was a race against the clock: To try to register to vote the greatest number of Latinos throughout California.</p>
<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; A dozen community organizations in the state, including Justice Overcoming Boundaries and the Human Rights Committee of Escondido, made this campaign over the weekend until Monday October 18, the deadline for people to be able to register to vote for the Nov. 2 election.</p>

Editorial:

Our first impulse was to NOT recommend anyone for State Assembly. This was based on the frustration of the incumbents’ inability to pass a State budget. Passing a budget is one of the primary jobs of our elected officials and it is now clear they are not any good at their job, they can’t get a budget passed, and when someone can’t do their job you fire them!
