   Let’s see if we got this straight… councilman Ben Hueso first illegally lends his big brothers’ campaign $25,000; then after his big brother loses, Hueso the younger, hires two of the big bros campaign workers at a couple of thousand dollars every two weeks until Hueso leaves office… and lastly Hueso allows a homeless shelter to be located next to an elementary school in Barrio Logan….  Hueso leaving a hell of a legacy before he goes to Saco.

   The in-coming councilman, David Alvarez, wondering if Hueso is trying to screw with the office budget, leaving Alvarez holding the short end of the stick when it comes time for him to hiring office staff….

   La Piñata in Old Town is celebrating 82 years in business this month. Other historical events that took place in 1928: General Electric opens first TV-station; Mickey Mouse made his first appearance; the birth of Ernesto (Che) Guevera, Revolutionary hero; Amelia Erhart flies across the Atlantic Ocean, the first woman to do so in a 21-hour flight to Wales.

   The Center for American Progress, in a newly released study, reports that Arizona economy has lost $141 million dollars since the passage of SB1070. The report goes on to say that this is just the tip of the iceberg.

   MSNBC comes to San Diego to talk about immigration issue and not one San Diegan on the panel… hey vatos you are disrespecting the locals when you do that… Chicano community has been at the forefront of the issue….
