The Democratic Party and it’s candidates are supposed to be about progressive politics but it seems like Chula Vista councilwoman Pamela Bensoussan missed the memo on that one. Keeping two different email accounts for city business, one for the public review the other for her back room deals…. hijole this sure isn’t the person we thought were getting when we voted for her….
There is an old saying: be careful of what you wish for.’ This is so true in regards to term limits. We used to bitch about the wheeling and dealing that used go on but at least things got done through long term relationships. Now and days it is all about holding each other hostage and nothing gets done…. Whatever happened to the art of compromise????
Chula Vista city council race heating up already. Mary Salas has unofficially made it known that she is going to seek election to her old council seat. Also sending out signals that he will be in the race for the same seat, being vacated by Steve Castaneda, is John McCann. Looks like the big guns are coming out for this seat, both with an eye on the mayor’s seat two years later.
El jefe had the opportunity to give away 4 tickets to the Mexico/Venezuela soccer game and what tickets they were. The four lucky people got front row seats right behind the players’ bench. It paid off for them to read La Prensa on-line where the tickets were offered…
Escondido proud of their reduction in violent crime cited a drop of 25%, we supposed they are crediting their get tough on immigrant efforts… turns out there was only a 5% drop over a 6 month period…. Maybe it is not the immigrants who responsible for all the crime in that city…. Quien sabe???
