<p>It has been a busy year and part of the reason for writing sporadically is because activism has become a priority in my life.</p>
<p>I wished I could have written more about my work in the past year, perhaps in the future I will, but in Mexico, we experience “Momentum” in our advocacy work this past year. To give you an idea, I briefly describe some of the projects that kept me busy in Mexico City since June 2014:</p>

Everyday, members of our community launch exciting new companies, take great new jobs, or tackle the tough issues we face. Too often we don’t provide enough support or coverage to highlight those successes. We will. And other times, though, we don’t hold people accountable when they fail to live up to the responsibilities we entrust them with. We will.

<p>Jose Barajas, a member of the San Ysidro Schools Board of Governors, was served a recall petition Wednesday seeking to remove him from the school board.</p>
<p>Several community members, including local businesswoman Bertha Alicia Gonzalez and two PTA parents from two local schools, served Mr. Barajas at his home. The service of the petition is the first step in a recall process.</p>

<p>If Adriana Ruggiero had not migrated to the United States from her native Venezuela, she probably wouldn’t have continued as a journalist.</p>
<p>Due to government censorship and oppression of the media in the South American country, being a journalist in Venezuela is not ideal, says Ruggiero.</p>

<p>The 3rd so-called <strong>“Corrida de Oportunidad”</strong> will take place at Tijuana’s Plaza Monumental de Playas this Sunday, August 16, beginning at 4:30 p.m., and three basic questions confront the reporter/casual observer/unconditional supporter of the taurine arts:</p>

<li>Who are, in no particular order, are <strong>Cesar Ibelles</strong> and <strong>Xavier Ocampo</strong>?</li>
