This past Sunday was one of those days in sports where we enjoyed the best that sports has to offer, only to have this great sports weekend put into proper perspective with the loss of one of the most endeared persons in San Diego when it was announced that Jerry Coleman had passed away that same day.
Editorial:
It is always good to look back at the past editorials of the year, it tells us where we were and where we are going. Editorials for any newspaper are the sole of the paper, if you want to know about a newspaper, read their editorials.
Re-reading our editorials is interesting and in some cases, they gave us reason to smile.

<p>Pope Francis has done us all a favor, whether we’re Catholic or not.</p>
<p>In this Christmas season, he has shown the way to a more humane society.</p>
<p>He has certainly earned Time magazine’s Person of the Year commendation.</p>
<p>In his first papal exhortation, he put most leaders in the Western world to shame with his heartfelt message lamenting international hunger and inequality.</p>
