<p>The San Diego Padres swept the San Francisco Giants in two exciting games this weekend in Major League Baseball's first regular season games ever played in Mexico City.</p>
<p>The Padres won a high-scoring game on Saturday by a score of 16 to 11 and followed up the next day with a 6 to 4 win over their Northern California rivals.</p>

<p>The lobbyist who has been working behind-the-scenes to broker a settlement on the 101 Ash Street building scandal hired the wife of Mayor Kevin Faulconer’s Chief of Staff during a critical time when the building’s owner was trying to convince the City to enter into a lease.</p>

<p>The San Diego Padres won their season opener 8 to 7 against the Arizona Diamondbacks during the first game with fans – although limited- since the COVID-19 pandemic began last year.</p>
<p>Seating was limited to no more than 10,000 out of Petco Park’s 42,691 seats but the crowd still erupted when first baseman Eric Hosmer hit the season’s first home run in the third inning of the game. Hosmer had three hits and drove in three runs.</p>
