<p> For three quarters last Saturday the outcome of San Diego State’s football game against Washington State University was very much in doubt. The Aztec offense was erratic in the first half with a passing game that was often out of sync. The running game wasn’t much better as it struggled against a tough Cougars defense. The defense was torched by some big plays including a 80-yard touchdown on the Cougars first play from scrimmage.</p>

<p><strong>PHOENIX, Arizona</strong> — The decision by the Hispanic advocacy group National Council of La Raza to call off a year-long boycott of Arizona for its passage of one of the nation’s toughest anti-immigrant pieces of legislation is being met with opposition by grassroots organizations determined to keep up the pressure.</p>

<p> Part of the San Ysidro Border structure collapsed midday on Wednesday leaving 24 people injured and causing damages at the busiest land border crossing in the world.</p>
<p> The collapse happened around 10:45 am between lanes 1 through 8 while the rest of the structure had no visible damage.</p>
