Taste of Bonita 2009 Highlights Local Restaurants for a Good Cause

Bonita, CA – The annual Taste of Bonita is back for 2009, and some of the area’s top restaurants are serving up their best once again. It’s the return of calories for a cause! The Taste of Bonita 2009 food festival will be held at the Chula Vista Golf Course from 5:00pm to 7:30pm. The Chula Vista Golf Course is located at 4475 Bonita Road in Bonita across from Vons. Sixteen restaurants from Bonita, Chula Vista, Eastlake, and National City are scheduled to participate, offering samples of food from their menus.

<p>&nbsp;The federal government is launching a campaign to put more stimulus money in the hands of minority-owned businesses, many of them reeling from this historic recession, now in its 20th month.</p>
<p>&nbsp;But an official with the California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce says thus far, the stimulus money has eluded minority-run businesses in his beleaguered state.</p>
