<p> The federal government is launching a campaign to put more stimulus money in the hands of minority-owned businesses, many of them reeling from this historic recession, now in its 20th month.</p>
<p> But an official with the California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce says thus far, the stimulus money has eluded minority-run businesses in his beleaguered state.</p>

<p> Preliminary number in the recent federal elections in Mexico, show close to two million people, — 5.39% of the total national vote—, decided to annul their vote. In México City, that number was even higher; 13.2% of the total vote.</p>
<p> This movement of annulment helped to contribute to the fact that only 38.5% of the Mexican population voted in this congressional elections.</p>

On Monday, the Supreme Court overturned a ruling in the Ricci case. They ruled in favor of white firefighters who had passed a promotional exam for captains and lieutenants with the New Haven, Conn., fire department.19 white men and two Hispanics passed the test. No African American firefighters passed the test. It is noteworthy to mention that the population of New Haven is 60% minority.
