<p>The first thing one notices when walking into the office of National City’s Chief of Police are the loud police scanners playing in the background. The second thing are his office decorations: From an American flag placed behind the chief’s desk, to a corn flakes cereal box with an image of Cesar Chavez. Then there’s a black and white framed poster of John F. Kennedy, just a few feet from his window. It becomes crystal clear that Chief Manuel Rodriguez is a leader who is inspired by other leaders.</p>

<p>Las cosas para los Padres de San Diego van de mal en peor en esta temporada. Tanto así, que el directivo más prominente del equipo explotó sintiéndose frustrado.</p>
<p>“Este es un equipo lleno de fallas miserables”, dijo el Presidente de los Padres, Ron Fowler, en una entrevista que concedió a la estación de radio Mighty 1090 AM.</p>
<p>Fowler habló de esa manera el miércoles pasado, justo cuando el equipo de San Diego terminaba una gira de ocho partidos en la que perdió siete de ellos.</p>
