<p>For the past two months, the number of local lab-confirmed flu cases has been steadily increasing every week, this according to the San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency.<br>
On the week ending on this past October 22, seven influenza cases were reported in San Diego County; by the the end of last week the number of cases had increased<br>
to 149.<br>
Given the increasing number of influenza cases, County health officials continue to remind San Diegans to get vaccinated.<br>

<p>San Diego’s minimum wage is set to increase to $11.50 per hour on Sunday, January 1, 2017. The increase comes after voters approved the City of San Diego’s Earned Sick Leave and Minimum Ordinance on June 7, 2016. The ordinance became effective in July 11, 2016 when the city’s minimum wage increased from $10 to $10.50 per hour.<br>

El salario mÃnimo de San Diego incrementará a $11.50 por hora a partir del domingo 1 de enero del 2017.<br>
El aumento se debe a que los votantes aprobaron el decreto de Aumento Salarial y DÃas de Enfermedad con Paga de la Ciudad de San Diego el 7 de junio del 2016. El decreto tomó efecto el 11 de julio del 2016 cuando el salario mÃnimo de la ciudad subió de $10 a $10.50.<br>

<p>As President and CEO of the National City Chamber of Commerce, Jacqueline Reynoso has created change in the community for over 12 years through different positions and involvement in organizations.<br>
After her parents got married, they settled in National City, because her parents saw it as a good place with good schools. Soon after, moving there, more relatives followed Reynoso’s parents.<br>
Reynoso was born in National City and says that she found her motivation as she was growing up in this area.<br>

<p>With its facilities packed with end-of-year travelers, the Cross Border Xpress (CBX) bridge, which offers direct access between the Tijuana International Airport and Otay Mesa, celebrated its first anniversary of operations.</p>
<p>CBX closes its first year on a high note, as more than one million passengers have been able to save time by being able to cross the border directly from Tijuana’s airport into San Diego, or from San Diego into Tijuana, avoiding the long border wait times at ports of entry.</p>

<p>CBX cierra su primer año en una nota alta, ya que más de un millón de pasajeros han podido ahorrar tiempo cruzando directamente desde San Diego al aeropuerto, o desde Tijuana a San Diego, evitando asà el largo cruce fronterizo.</p>
