<p>Pope Francis has done us all a favor, whether we’re Catholic or not.</p>
<p>In this Christmas season, he has shown the way to a more humane society.</p>
<p>He has certainly earned Time magazine’s Person of the Year commendation.</p>
<p>In his first papal exhortation, he put most leaders in the Western world to shame with his heartfelt message lamenting international hunger and inequality.</p>

<p>Hace exactamente cuatro años escribí mi columna de fin de año sin reforma haciendo referencia al aguinaldo puertorriqueño Cantares de Navidad, cuyo estribillo central dice: “un año que viene y otro que se va”.</p>
<p>Me atrevo a repetirlo con todo y título este año 2013, que ha sido una montaña rusa para mí a nivel personal, y en el ámbito profesional como parte del movimiento que lucha por una reforma migratoria que legalice a 11 millones de indocumentados.</p>
