But amidst all the dolls, gadgets and superheroes, there’s one gift that, more than any other, can make a profound difference in the life of a child – the gift of reading.</p>

<p><strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </strong>Recientemente el Secretario de Agricultura, Tom Vilsack, mencionó en una reunión con líderes cristianos que más de la mitad de los alimentos que consumimos en este país pasa por manos inmigrantes. También dijo que, desafortunadamente, muchos trabajadores del campo y sus familias se encuentran entre aquellos que más sufren la carencia de alimento para su propio consumo.</p>

<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Ya que en la mayor parte del Condado de San Diego no neva durante diciembre, se sabe que la Navidad está cerca por las miles de lucecitas que adornan las casas y los edificios.</p>
<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Pero en las casas de los mexicanos en San Diego, se sabe que la Navidad ya llegó por el aroma de la comida: los tamales y el champurrado, los buñuelos, el chocolate caliente y el pan dulce.</p>
